80 years ago Friday, July 24, 1936
Keith Ralph, who was the only one of a group of Neepawa young people who wrote the civil service examinations here recently to pass them, received a telegram this week to report for duty in Ottawa next Monday. He will be employed in the department engaged in census recording.

RCMP Musical Ride comes to Neepawa

Photos by John Drinkwater. Supported by the Neepawa Rotary Club, the RCMP Musical Ride visited Neepawa on Tuesday, July 19. Thirty-two riders and horses put on a thrilling performance despite high temperatures and humidity. Just under $12,000 was raised at the gate with over 1,500 attending.

‘A Mid Summer’s Eve’ is an annual sales event held by local businesses. Referred to as Shop & Dine as well, the event this year took place on July 21 and included Beyond the Garden Gate, Studio One, Brews Brothers, Kerreen’s Clothing, It’s Time Fashion & Gifts, 4U Home Décor and Herbs for Health.

On July 20, 2016, former NHL star and survivor of childhood sexual abuse Theoren Fleury brought his Victor Walk to Neepawa. This stop is only one of many on this year’s walk from Russell to Winnipeg.
