Rivers’ Manitoba Youth Job Centre (MYJC) is open once again for the summer! Centres across Manitoba are in their 40th year of successfully supporting youth employment in Manitoba. The Rivers centre is sponsored by Manitoba Children and Youth Opportunities in partnership with Riverdale Municipality, and serves the communities of Rivers, Forrest, Rapid City and Oak River.

Grow op discovered in Alonsa

RCMP News Release
On May 20, 2015, at approximately 10:00 pm, Ste Rose du Lac RCMP executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act warrant on a marihuana grow operation at a commercial garage in Alonsa, Manitoba. Due to the hazardous conditions inside the building, police vacated the garage and held the scene until power was disconnected and it was safe to enter.

Little Valley Jamboree
The 18th annual Little Valley Jamboree will take place in Erickson on June 20 and 21. This year we have two little girls we are sponsoring, named Bailey and Haylie. Here is a shortened version of their problems.

Neepawa Town Council amends media policy & funding for fair

A few adjustments were approved on Tuesday, May. 19, to the Town of Neepawa’s municipal budget. The changes will not impact the tax rate for property owners and will simply see some existing allocated funding shifted.
