Thanks to all the people of Neepawa and surrounding areas. The Neepawa Lions Club collects eye glasses which are no longer needed by you, the wearer. We then send these glasses  to countries where less fortunate people can not afford a pair of glasses.

Branconier building burns

On Wednesday, May 24 at 2:20 p.m. Rivers/Daly Fire Department responded to a 911 call and raced to the home of Sean and Rebekah Branconier in Rivers. The family (children Nathan, Michael and Teyah) live on Hwy. 250 in Rivers’ north end — the second home from the north on the west side of the road; their official address is SE 26-12-21. Members were required to extinguish a shed fire, which was completely destroyed, as were its contents and more.

Little Valley Jamboree celebrates 20 years

The Little Valley Jamboree is an annual music festival held to raise awareness, support and funds for special needs children in the area and throughout Manitoba. This year, the event celebrates an amazing 20 years, with organizers Rod and Evelyn Lewandoski still at the helm. The festival will take place on June 17 and 18 at the Fair Grounds in Erickson.
