Town of Neepawa media release

The old Neepawa Waste Disposal Grounds, located approximately 1.9km east of Neepawa, was opened in the late 1940’s and had been used since that time by the Town, surrounding residents and local industry for the disposal of household and industrial waste. The site was discontinued for use in 2004, in conjunction with the opening of Evergreen Environmental. The Town has been in the process of finalizing and budgeting/saving for the closure since 2004.

It was a day of inspiration for the 60 NACI students who attended this year’s WE Day. Organized by WE (formerly Free the Children), We Day celebrates youth making a difference both locally and globally. The event fills a stadium and combines the energy of a live concert, with inspirational speakers sharing stories of leadership and change.
