My Perspective - Eighteen months and one per cent

Eighteen months, it has been that long since the provincial NDP government raised the PST by one per cent.  Eighteen months seems to be how long it has taken for dissention among Manitobans as a whole to grow and spread into the ranks of the NDP government. While the opposition party’s lawsuit to reverse the illegal tax increase failed, they might still win in the end.

Right in the Centre - Shelf Life

We used to call it “getting stale” but today, most products are measured in terms of shelf life. Usage of the term has spread from the grocery store to all phases of life. It applies to politicians with equal ease. The term “shelf life” has been applied to the Manitoba NDP  party in general and is being applied specifically this week to Premier Greg Selinger.
