It’s time to take fresh pictures of the Manitoba prairie crocus.
More than $500 in prize money is available for winners in the 2016 Crocus Photo Contest at Arden, MB. Entries close at midnight Saturday, April 30. Photos will be printed, judged and displayed a week later at Arden’s Crocus Festival on Saturday, May 7.

This month Rivers Police Service saw an increase in the number vehicles entered and two vehicles were stolen. Police are again reminding people to please lock your vehicles and don't leave anything of value in them. Anyone with information regarding the thefts of a stolen pickup and quad are asked to call Rivers Police Service at 204-328-7430 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-782-8477. They are the business property of a pilot truck service which is based in the 600 block of Third Avenue.

While there have been some changes, much has stayed the same at the Neepawa and District Veterinary Clinic. The clinic building is owned and operated by the Neepawa and District Veterinary Board, which contracts with a veterinarian who rents the space and provide services. At the beginning of this year, the Neepawa Vet Clinic took over the contract from Brydges & Taylor Veterinary Hospital.
