Monday morning (August 31, 2015)  we celebrated the life of Ellen “Gracie” Stewart in a casual gathering at her graveside, with her Country Meadows family and friends in attendance.

Municipalities need to take an active approach to spurring development in their own communities and not rely on industry to lead the charge.  That’s the basis behind an upcoming entrepreneurship event being co-presented by Minnedosa and Neepawa on Oct. 22.

Bridge out near Rivers

Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation announced on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 1, the emergency closure of the PR 250 bridge over the Assiniboine River at Deerboine Colony in the Spring Valley district of Riverdale Municipality. The temporary closure is due to structural damage from an oversized load striking an overhead cross beam of the steel-truss bridge.
